Today I Wish to talk about Kombucha. Which is obviously completely unrelated to these Banana Oatmeal Cookies, but I know you won't mind.
Allow me to begin by stating that my husband drinks apple cider vinegar mixed with water every morning to reduce inflammation or anything like that.
He claims it's magical. I assert it is nasty.
While I understand this will seem dramatic (cause it is), I literally dry heave at the sight and odor of his early ritual on a daily basis. He loves that around me.
Based upon this reaction, one would feel I would stay far away from Kombucha, right? I mean, after all, it surely has a vinegary tang.
But for whatever reason, I continue trying it. I Wish to enjoy it SO DANG BAD.

I am literally a marketer's fantasy cause every single time I see someone I know loving a sip, or even realising their favorite brand and flavor using a boomerang on Instagram, I am all,"Maybe that one will actually taste acceptable!" .
Just imagine me using air quotes around the word appreciating because I find it difficult to think this stuff is actually enjoyable in any sense of the word.
And spoiler alert. None of them taste great. None.
Even the ones that people claim are mild are a major no-go for me. They taste just like freaking bubbly vinegar.
I'm basically sure that anybody who drinks this brewed tea material gets zero taste buds, or severely awesome ones.

While I am not asserting these banana oatmeal biscuits are the least bit healthy (cause hello butter and sugar ), I am claiming they are delicious.
They have the ideal quantity of banana taste and a lovely chewy texture as a result of the oats. The chocolate chips are only an extra bonus.

Everybody who attempted these banana oatmeal biscuits thought they tasted much like banana bread, but clearly with an entirely different texture. We dug it around here.

A Couple of NOTES ABOUT THESE BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES
All these Banana Oatmeal Cookies possess a soft, chewy texture. If you're looking for a traditional oatmeal cookie, then this is not the cookie cutter you're looking for. If you're not a fan of oatmeal cookies my favourite chocolate chip cookies, could just become your new fave.
I like these biscuits somewhat about the side, therefore that I inhale them for 9 or 10 seconds. If you prefer these to be cooked through, I would take for 10-11 seconds.

I'll say that the oats almost makes them seem as a breakfast cookiecutter, therefore they're all kinds of amazing having a cup of coffee or tea first thing in the afternoon.
I'd add some chopped peppers into a batch instead of chocolate chips, however, everyone definitely chosen the chocolate chips over the nuts.

These biscuits are a fantastic way to use those super ripe bananas sitting on your counter at this time. I won't even tell anyone that they're not really breakfast cookies. Enjoy!
BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 large egg
3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas (about site web 2 medium)
1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup pops flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
From the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a big bowl with an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar till light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and blend in the egg until fully incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl again and add the skillet and vanilla.
Gently add the the flour mixture to the banana mixture and blend until just combined.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then stir to recombine.
Use a medium cookie scoop (about 1.5 tbsp ) to scoop the dough onto prepared cookie sheets leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
Bake in preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes.
Remove cookies from the oven and lightly press on the shirts of each cookie with the base of a drinking glass. Because these cookies do not spread considerably, this can help give them a conventional cookie form.
Allow the banana oatmeal cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.
